Ms. Sarah-Joy Loney pursued the Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design at the College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago (COSTAATT). She graduated from COSTAATT’s Ken Gordon School of Journalism and Communication Studies in November 2015 with Honors - Cum Laude.
I was honored to have served as her academic advisor and senior lecturer for the duration of said degree. I was allowed an opportunity to observe her participation and interaction in class, and to evaluate her level of commitment, focus and discipline towards her chosen career of graphic design. In class, Sarah-Joy exhibited a great ability to effectively communicate with her fellow students, and lecturers. I have seen her adopt the role of team leader, as well as that of team player, all the while recognizing the skill and capabilities she brought to her many group projects.
She has always been well-organized, task-oriented and reliable. For me, her greatest strengths are her ability to respect deadlines and her attention to detail, key attributes to success in the industry. Her overall performance at COSTAATT was outstanding. Post Graduation, I kept in touch with Sarah-Joy, and continued to follow her work in design. She remains driven to achieve excellence in all she endeavors and her pro-active nature continues to define her accomplishments.
